Triplets and quads - random only.package the sims 2
Sims 2. Triplets aren't in The Sims 2 by default, no matter what you've heard. However, a mod exists to allow your Sim to have triplets, or even quadruplets! This wikiHow will teach you how to have triplets in The Sims 2. Because triplets don't naturally exist in The Sims 2, you'll need a mod to have them.
Don't download both. Unzip the file. Open your game's Downloads folder. There should be a folder titled Downloads in your Sims 2 folder. Start up your game. Enable mods by clicking "Enable custom content", click OK, and then restart your game. Make a Sim get pregnant. Once you've installed the mod, have a Sim get pregnant as usual - get two Sims, find a place for them to Try For Baby, and have them do so or get a male Sim pregnant by aliens, if you choose.
If your Sim gets pregnant via Try For Baby, you'll hear a short lullaby chime play afterwards. Make sure the household has enough room for three more Sims or that you have a mod that allows more than eight Sims per household.
Wait for the Sim to go into labor. Simply click on the active sim the one with the plumbob and select Adjust Once you pick which multiple's odds you want to change you will see the 'buy food' dialog.
Fill up the bar to set the new odds. The 'delivery fee' line will show what the current odds are. The line above that shows what you are changing it to. Ignore the 'total cost' line at the bottom, that is NOT used.
When done, hit ok and the odds will be changed. The changes you make ONLY affect the current lot. Every lot can have different settings. If you want to change the odds globally for every lot see post 34 or the read me file for instructions.
To change a value to zero, hit cancel once the buy food dialog appears. A new dialog will pop up asking if you want to change the value to zero or not. You will get a dialog letting you know what was changed. The new dialogs and pie menus are only available in English at this time. If you want the game to use your odds, turn off the fertility treatment before the sim gives birth. Set the odds for each multiple to the values you want using the procedure above.
This option will make the current lots odds the new default odds for the entire neighborhood. Note that you can still have lots using their own settings.
A lot will only use the global defaults if you have not altered them since installing version 3. Odds set in previous versions will be overridden by the new global defaults. This mod is known to be compatible with most if not all other mods that affect pregnancy. As of version 2. Known issues: these are not bugs, just things to be aware of.
When you have triplets or quads, the character creation screen will still say that two babies are on the way. I don't think this can by changed, but ignore it.
Your sim will have 3 or 4 babies. After triplets or quads are born, you will get 2 separate dialog's to name all the babies. No way around this either.
If you have quads, expect a bit of a lag will act like the game froze for a few seconds. This icon is used on wikiHow as fair use because it is being used to provide how-to instructions. Make a Sim get pregnant. If your Sim gets pregnant via Try For Baby, you'll hear a short lullaby chime play afterwards. Make sure the household has enough room for three more Sims or that you have a mod that allows more than eight Sims per household. Wait for the Sim to go into labor. After three game days, the camera will focus on the pregnant Sim as they go into labor, like with a normal birth.
If you have the non-random version of the mod, you'll get a dialogue box immediately after your Sim goes into labor. If you have the Randomized version of the mod, your Sim will continue to give birth as normal, and you won't be able to ensure you have triplets.
Select the "Pick" option. After your Sim has completed the "going into labor" animation, the game will ask if you want to have a random number of babies, if you want to pick the number, or if you want the original number of babies the Sim was carrying.
Select Pick to ensure you have triplets. Don't have quadruplets. If you picked the version of the mod that lets you choose the number of babies born, you'll first get a dialogue box asking if you want to have quadruplets. Click No to proceed to the next dialogue box. Choose the Triplets option. After you've declined to have quadruplets, the game will ask you if you want to have a single baby, twins, or triplets. Click on Triplets , and your Sim will start giving birth.
The game will tell you that there are two new babies on the way. This is normal; your Sim is still going to have triplets. Name the first two babies. Once your Sim has given birth to all three babies, you'll get the popup to name two babies, as though your Sim had twins. Name the first two babies and then click the checkmark. Name the third baby. The third baby can be named once you've named the first two. Name the third baby, click the checkmark, and start managing your triplets!
