Preview pdf cannot select text


















PDFelement has made highlighting and selecting texts in PDF so easy that you will not struggle to use the interface when you install the application. Go to the PDF file that you wish to select or highlight the text and right-click on it to open a small dialogue box.

If you have installed the PDFelement, select pdfelement, then the file will open with this program. If you just want to select and copy text, then you can click on the Selection tool for text and images button , then select text in pdf. You can go to Method 2 or Method 3 to find out the solution.

The best part is that you are not limited to a size of selected or highlighted text when using PDFelement. Also, you can change the highlight color and opacity from the floating menu bar or from the Properties window.

After you have finished with highlighting your text, you can save your changes to avoid losing data and progress. Simply look for the save button. Alternatively, you can close the document but before you do it will open a dialogue box that prompts you to save the document.

Save your changes and head on to the next step. After adding the text click the Post button. Due to certain restrictions a user is not allowed to select text in the PDF document. They also have a free suite you can download, it does have advertisements though but not on the one I have. Well, I'm very glad that you solved some users needings, but instead I really need the printer like before, since I need pdf printed with vectorial curves and lines, making text non copyable. So, dear developers, I know, I can result annoying, but I'm asking: Please, can you add an option to print even documents like before text converted as vectorial?

Very frustrating since I essentially can not copy the upderlying text. It is some setting for how browser printing is processed because like I said if I reprint it from within Acrobat it works fine. Oh interesting and thanks Bernd. I want to confirm you have the exact same problem as me. I have no issue with printing from chrome.

It opens fine in Acrobat when done so. I am unable to download Firefox at this time, so can't test it there. OK thanks. Perhaps we can keep the comments germane to my querstion.

I am still waitinig to see if somoeone can confirm they have the same pritning issue I do from all browsers and more importantly if there is a setting which avoids this? Sorry to bump but anyone else seeing this problem? I have yet to specifically hear if anyone has the issue with printing from a browser Bernd may have the issue with Chrome but I am awaiting confirmation. The file generated by Chrome sometimes FireFox as well when printing to Adobe PDF contains outlines for the text elements and hence in the generated PDF we will have corresponding outlines vectors instead of live text and therefore, text can not be selected.

Whereas, the file generated by IE internet explorer contains vector outlines instead of actual text and hence in the PDF generated from PS, we see vector outlines instead of text. Thanks Swapnil I appreciate the details. Understanding the root of the issue is very helpful.
